When Waste Management, Inc. needed a new employee training facility,
Howard Concrete came through for the complex building requirements.
The Waste Management training facility featured numerous challenging
design elements. The design for the multi-level garage required
extensive post-tension concrete work, a technique that uses stretched
steel cables inside poured concrete to suspend a structure in
the air.

The entrance to the building was to be covered by a domed concrete
arch, and the landscaping required curved concrete retaining walls.
These retaining walls required an architectural finish, a complication
many concrete contractors avoid. But, Howard Concrete specializes
in architectural concrete, so the results were superb.
